Papito: From Accident to Athlete, Loss to Gain

Papito had a dream. He wanted to compete in the World Championship games and that’s exactly what he did. After almost losing his head from horrific accident that cost him a leg, Papito never gave up on himself. His perseverance touched Jack Layton, who got Papito Canadian citizenship within one week, so he could compete for Canada at the World games.

In Honor of Blood Donor’s Day

Today we would like to make a post in tribute to the World Blood Donor’s Day on June 14th, an international day of recognition of Everyday Hero blood donors globally and their important, lifesaving contribution. The day exists to spread wider awareness of the need for blood transfusion and to bring more into the fold.
